Symposium Full Text Addition Rules

Wind Folk Instruments International Symposium Full Text Writing Guidelines

  1. In the study, the title should be written in capital letters, bold and centered.
  2. In the full text of the paper, after the title, the abstract should be written in Turkish and English, 2 cm further in from the right and left sides, in 10-point font and single line spacing. The title should also be stated in the English abstract.
  3. The paper should be prepared as an MS Word file. The page layout of the paper should be as follows: text size: 11 points, footnote size: 9 points, paragraph spacing: 6 pt, paragraph indent: 1.25 cm, top-bottom-right-left margins: 3 cm, line spacing: single line.
  4. Citing References When quoting in the text of the paper, citation information (author, year of publication and the page number from which the citation is made, paragraph number if there is no page number) should always be stated and the details should be fully shown in the bibliography. Quotations of less than 40 words can be placed in the text with double quotation marks. If the quote is in the middle of the sentence, the citation information should be written in brackets after the quoted part and the sentence should continue; No other punctuation mark should be used unless the flow of the sentence requires it. Block quotes should start on a new line, and the entire quote should be left with a space equal to the new paragraph indent (1.25 cm) between the left edge of the page and the block. Block quotes should be written with single line spacing, and citation information should be given in brackets after a period is placed at the end of the quote.
  • All sources cited in the text should be included in the bibliography.
  • APA 7 system has been adopted for citing references in full texts of papers. For this reason, the papers to be sent must comply with the reference system below.

DISPLAYING BOOKS AS A SOURCE:

In the text: (Korkmaz, 1992, p. 37)

The text in the bibliography section of the work should be as follows: Korkmaz, Z. (1992). Ataturk and Turkish language – documents. Turkish Language Society.

DISPLAYING ARTICLES AS SOURCES:

In the text: (Erenoğlu, 2023, p. 75) The article name should be written in normal sentence order; That is, the first word should be started with a capital letter and other words (except proper names) should be started with a lowercase letter.

The text in the bibliography section of the article should be as follows: Erenoğlu, N. (2023). Reason indicators in New Uyghur Turkish. Turkish Language Research Yearbook Belleten, 76,

If there is no DOI number specific to the content and the article was accessed online, the public web address of the journal, newsletter or newspaper's home page should be given in the bibliography.

 Abbreviations should never be used when naming the journal in the bibliography.

DISPLAYING THESES AS A SOURCE:

In the text: (Güneş, 2009, p. 110)

The text in the bibliography section of the thesis should be as follows: If the thesis has been published: Güneş, B. (2009). Rhetorical/linguistic terms on the rhetorical axis (Record or Serial Number). [Master's thesis, Karadeniz Technical University Social Sciences Institute – Trabzon]. Database Name.

If the thesis has not been published: Güneş, B. (2009). Rhetorical/linguistic terms in the axis of rhetoric (Unpublished master's thesis). Karadeniz Technical University Social Sciences Institute.

TABLES AND FIGURES:

Table numbers and explanations should be written above the table as Table 1: ………………… in 10-point font and centered. Texts within the table should be typed in 9 pt, single line spacing, and 0 pt paragraph spacing. The table should be centered on the page. Figure numbers and explanations should be written below the figure in the format Figure 1: ………………… in 10 point font and centered. The figure should be centered on the page.

Papers that do not comply with these principles will definitely not be published.
